   El 46% de horas extras realizadas por los trabajadores en 2010 no fueron remuneradas, según el informe ‘La evolución del tiempo de trabajo’ de UGT, que denuncia que estos datos siguen fomentando la precariedad laboral en España.

   De este modo, los trabajadores dejaron de percibir ingresos por un total de 2,5 millones de horas extras, frente a tres millones de horas que sí fueron remuneradas. El mayor número de horas se realizó en empresas de más de 250 trabajadores, mientras que descendió en las compañías con más de 50 trabajadores.

   Entre las Comunidades Autónomas en las que el número de horas extraordinarias se redujo se encuentran Andalucía, Asturias, Canarias, Cantabria, Cataluña, Comunidad Valenciana, Extremadura, Galicia, Madrid, Navarra, País Vasco y La Rioja.

   El sindicato denuncia que esta práctica supone un recorte de derechos laborales de los trabajadores, especialmente del colectivo joven y de las mujeres, y perjudican la salud de los mismos, ya que al realizar un mayor número de horas laborales se reduce el tiempo de descanso.

   Asimismo, considera que estos datos condicionan la calidad de vida de los empleados, ya que hacen incompatible la vida profesional y personal, e impiden la contratación y creación de empleo, ya que la empresa “camufla” sus necesidades reales de contratación.

   El sindicato señala a el elevado número de horas extras que se realizan en España, aunque se ha reducido por la crisis, y recuerda que en el ‘Acuerdo para el Empleo y la Negociación Colectiva’ de 2010 establece la supresión de las horas extras salvo las derivadas a través de la negociación colectiva y previo acuerdo entre las partes.
