La actividad más productiva en la búsqueda de empleo es el Networking. Internet le ofrece una ayuda muy valiosa para sortear barreras, identificar cuáles sus interlocutores clave e iniciarse en las actividades de Networking.

Para ser eficaz de forma online, necesita organizar su red de contactos, decidir en qué redes virtuales va a estar presente y con quién contactará inicialmente.

Su objetivo posteriormente va a ser hacer crecer su red, apalancando de esta manera las posibilidades que le ofrecen las redes sociales y profesionales.

A medida que va haciendo contactos y construye su red, recogerá y compartirá información. Es crítico que mantenga registros sobre su actividad y los temas comentados.

¿En qué redes estar presente?

•Es recomendable tener un perfil completo desarrollado en LinkedIn. Un perfil bien diseñado funciona como reclamo para los reclutadores, profesionales de su mismo sector…Es nuestra tarjeta de visita virtual. Participe activamente en grupos de interés por sector, área profesional…

•Foros Alumni- de su Universidad

•Puede ampliar su presencia virtual hacia otras redes profesionales como Xing, Plaxo, BranchOut

•Facebook tiene una orientación más social. Asegúrese que la información y fotos de su perfil son acordes a su marca profesional online.

•Twitter, le permite seguir a sus empresas diana y contactar con personas con intereses similares a los suyos.

En cualquier foro virtual, lo primero es encontrarse, conectar y después Intercambiar información.

Si ya está presente en las redes, su objetivo es ampliar su base de contactos.
